In honor of Tommy Lasorda’s 84th birthday, the Dodgers put their former manager in the dugout on Thursday night in a nice tribute.
We tried to find the sole recording of the famous rant when Lasorda went off on Dave Kingman’s performance when he hit three home runs against the Dodgers.
“What’s my opinion of Kingman’s performance? What the f— do you think is my opinion of his performance? I think it was f—ing horses—. Put that in.”
While we couldn’t find that sole recording, we found something better: some of Tommy’s best rants while he was manager. The best part is that in nearly every one of them, he tells the reporters to “put that in” meaning to put it into the newspaper.
