The other day we posted a story on Bill Mazeroski’s home run to beat the Yankees in the 1960 World Series.
It got me thinking of some of the best moments when fans run onto the field. How can you not think of the two hippies running the bases with Hank Aaron after his record-breaking homer?
Or, how about the kid who got tasered last year in Philly?
Our favorite? Easy. Even better is that it happened on this day in 1977.
When the Yankees won the World Series – because Reggie Jackson hit his three home runs on three pitches – we see Reggie Jackson running at top speed to get into the safety of the dugout, body checking idiots on the field to get through.
It’s probably the best and worst World Series clinching moment ever.
